This table once stood in the drawing room at Thorncliff
alongside the gentleman’s chair. It is in the Gothic Revival style, popular in
the mid-nineteenth century. Alexander Jackson Davis was a prominent architect
in the 1800s. Belmead in Powhatan was one of his local commissions.
